Admission & Enrollment
Admission to Claremont Middle School is determined by the Oakland Unified School District’s Student Assignment Center, which manages student assignments for all Oakland public schools. There are two ways to apply for admission to Claremont:
ADMISSION FOR THE NEXT SCHOOL YEAR: Most of our students gain admission through the OUSD Options Process, which allows Oakland residents to apply for admission to any school in the district at the appropriate grade level for the following school year. The enrollment window for the next school year opens in December. Click for details about the Options Process on the OUSD Web site »
ADMISSION FOR THE CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR: If you need to enroll a middle school student for the current school year, you may email or apply in person at the OUSD Student Assignment Center l (746 Grand Ave., Portable A, Oakland, CA 94610, telephone 510-273-1600). Find information about the Student Assignment Center hours and documents.»
