The Claremont Math Club is back! The first meeting will be Wednesday, Nov. 15, in Ms. Thacher’s room (Room 17). Hosted by eminent math grandparents Ed Berne, Joe Lindsay, and Adrienne Yank, the CMC is open to all Claremont students in all grades. Participants do not have to have math knowledge beyond sixth grade — the focus is on logical thinking.
Following this initial meeting, the club will meet first and third Wednesdays of the month.
The CMC aims to:
- Have fun with math while exercising your brain
- Tackle puzzles, brainteasers, conundrums and paradoxes
- Expose math fallacies, flaws, and flimflam
